‘CLOTH LULLABY: The Woven Life of Louise Bourgeois’, Words by Amy Novesky, Pictures by Isabelle Arsenault

A beautiful picture book for all ages, about artist Louise Bourgeois’ life and one aspect of her art. “The Body Laid Bare” exhibition currently showing at Auckland Art Gallery has several of her paintings and one sculpture. The pictures in the book uses a lot of vibrant reds, which was also the color of her gouache pieces in the exhibition. The book took me on a short trip to another time in another world.
